Megan Morman: Art Party

Artist in Residence, August 17 - September 1
Artist Talk: August 30, 5 pm at MAWA, 611 Main Street

Megan Morman creates craft-based portraits, wordgames and performances that have appeared in festivals and publications across Canada.

Art Party's candy-coloured tableaus narrate real and imagined relationships among queer Canadian visual artists. This work explores friendship, insinuation and the role of storytelling in establishing community, using the fusible plastic beads of Morman’s childhood.  She will discuss this new work and other recent projects at her talk.
