Located in The Winnipeg Folk Festival Campground, in Zone 4 near the Red Willow Tipi Village, the Red Tent will consist of two tents.
One tent will provide crisis services, information and support for anyone who experiences an assault during the Festival, as well as for anyone dealing with a past sexual assault.
Services will be provided by trained volunteers from Klinic’s Sexual Assault Crisis Program.
In the second tent, volunteers will staff a women and trans-identified-only resource centre and facilitate workshops on sexual health, as well as artistic workshops.
Workshops will run daily at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Tentative workshops are:
- Belly Dancing
- Sex Positivity
- Body Image/ Fat phobia
- Yoga
- Partying Safer
- Pad Making
- Consent is Sexy!
- Sharing Birth Stories
