Prairie Women's Health Centre of Excellence and the Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival (WAFF) invite you to a screening of short films:
kiskinohamâtôtâpânâsk: Digital Stories of Intergenerational Effects on First Nations
Women Whose Mothers Are Residential School Survivors.
Six short films tell of the inter-generational legacy left by the residential school system.
These first-time filmmakers wrote and produced their own films, and will be in attendance.
A discussion will follow.
This event is part of Building Bridges: Intergenerational Impacts of Residential School,
a special project undertaken by the Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival as part of the
Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Commemoration Initiative.
