The Gatekeeper: 60 Years of Economics According to the New York Times
Through a thorough examination of the Times’ star commentators and its coverage of the issues of macroeconomics, regulation, foreign policy and the 2008-2009 economic crisis, The Gatekeeper refocuses the debate about the left-wing or liberal/right-wing or conservative bias of the most venerable institution in U.S. journalism.
Robert Chernomas is a Professor of Economics at the University of Manitoba. He has published in both the academic and popular literature with respect to macroeconomics, the history of economic thought, health care economics, and in the area of the socio-economic determinants of health.
