Stephen Maguire will be releasing his new album 'The Nashville Sessions' in Saskatoon, at the Remai Arts Centre: The BackStage Stage! He will be joined by his 8-piece band.
After a chance meeting with producer and songwriter Thomm Jutz (Nanci Griffith, Marty Stuart) at the Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival, the two joined forces to write and record in music city, Nashville TN.
One of the album’s many highlights is the track These Are The Streets in which Stephen reflects on life growing up in Belfast; another is a cover of the Michael Jackson mega-hit Human Nature.
Highlights for Maguire: performing at the Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival opening for Nanci Griffith, Brian Kennedy and Ivor Novello award winner John Reid (hit writer for Rod Stewart, Keith Urban and Tina Turner); being the guest artist at the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Spectacular; releasing his Christmas single 'Message from the Heart'; and winning a National Philanthropy Award for his extraordinary work with the Red Cross, including staging the Flood Relief Concerts that raised over $60,000.
Maguire is becoming known for his edgy vocals, thought-provoking songwriting and a commanding presence on stage.
