The Wretched Coincidences, Overt Folly, & Sentimental Exuberance of
Dalnavert Copperfield (Knight Bachelor of 61 Carlton Street):
AN ASTONISHING CONFLATION WITH SKITS
(Which neither Sir John A. Macdonald nor Charles
Dickens meant to be Presented on any Account.)
by Ian Mozdzen and Doug Melnyk

This interactive guided tour takes participants through a full house of Victorian-style memories straight out of the fictions of Charles Dickens and the life of Manitoba’s former Premier, Sir Hugh John Macdonald.

As Co-Artistic Director of out of line theatre, Ian Mozdzen has created and performed in a number of works. This is the second full-length performance Ian has developed alongside Doug Melnyk, after Monopoly Man Pit (Winnipeg Fringe 2011).

Doug Melnyk is an artist who works in a number of mediums.  He is the author of three books. He has appeared in performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 1989, and in London and New York.

The interior of The Dalnavert Museum is decorated to give visitors an immersive experience in the lives of staff and family in an upper-middle class Winnipeg home near the turn of the 20th century.
