In conjunction with the upcoming production of The Magic Flute (April 9, 12 and 15), Manitoba Opera is presenting:
MOZART, MASONS & THE MANITOBA LEGISLATIVE BUILDING TOUR

Did you know that Mozart and the librettist, Emanuel Schikaneder, were both Freemasons and that The Magic Flute is brimming with Masonic symbols?
Did you know that the Manitoba Legislative building’s architect was a Freemason and that he designed the building to represent King Solomon’s Temple, the building from which Freemasons trace their origins?
Join the Manitoba Opera for this special tour with Don Finkbeiner.
You’ll learn about the hidden meanings behind the building’s mystical design; uncover the Freemasonic symbols, hieroglyphic inscriptions, and numerological codes; and be treated to a singing demonstration in the Pool of the Black Star by soprano Sarah Kirsch.
Tour Times: noon; 1:45; 3:15 (approximately 75 minutes long).
Coffee reception to follow.
