Transit Hike Opposition on March 5

City Hall, 510 Main Street
March 5, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Come out and show your support in opposition of an unfair transit fare hike.

There has been no consultation and no assessment on the true outcomes of this increase.
This hike will severely affect sensitive populations including low income and students.
The transit hike is justified for the few that will benefit from the new rapid transit lane.

If you want to speak, call 311 and ask to present at the Public Works committee about the budget. And try to mention the budget in your 5 minute presentation (along with the many reasons why the fare increase should be rescinded) - Christina Maes

Hey UW Students, members of the UWSA will be at Monday's City of Winnipeg Public Works meeting to speak to how the transit fare increase will affect students.
What do you think of the increase? How will it impact you?
We want your voices to be heard!

Counselor for Fort Rouge-Fort Garry

Jenny has a great letter about this motion, Counselors Ross Eadie, Jenny Gerbasi and Counselor Harvey Smith have helped me a lot on this program.

I wish to thank them very much. I strongly encourage all of you to become a delegation and come to city hall and speak against this motion and others. Together we can show the counselors and people of Winnipeg that we care. I did it. Now it is up to you.
I intend to speak at all of the meetings.

Thank you
