present a night of readings on the eve of
World Poetry Day

Fiction writer, poet, and editor Sarah Klassen was born in Winnipeg.  She has taught English in Winnipeg, and at summer institutes in Lithuania and Ukraine. Her latest collection of poetry, Monstrance, will be published by Turnstone Press in April.

Katherena Vermette is a Métis writer of poetry and fiction. Her work has appeared in literary magazines and compilations, including Manitowapow: Aboriginal Writings from the Land of Water.  She was the 2010-2011 Blogger in Residence for thewriterscollective.org. Her first collection of poetry, I Won't Ever Learn, is forthcoming this year. A member of the Aboriginal Writers Collective of Manitoba, Vermette lives in Winnipeg.

Also reading this evening is poet Debbie Strange, one of the winners of CV2’s 35th Anniversary Contest.
