Halloween Fun at Indian and Métis Friendship Centre

The Indian and Métis Friendship Centre at 45 Robinson Street will hold a Halloween party because many parents are too frightened to let their children roam from door to door.

The centre is asking the public for help collecting candy for the kids.

Candies or treats can be dropped off at 45 Robinson Street.

Programming Director Nancy Flett said, "They still get to wear their costume when they come here to the centre, so it's a good thing."

Saturday night will mark one week since the area was rocked by three shootings within 35 minutes.

Two men were shot and killed in the spree.  A 13-year-old girl was also shot and seriously injured.  The shootings took place on Stella Walk, Dufferin Avenue and Boyd Avenue.

There is a massive police presence in the area as they continue their search for suspects.  They have also set up a mobile command centre.

Have a great day. How can you miss - you're in Winnipeg!
