Come out on October 28 to the Bulman Centre at 1:00 p. m. to say thank you to UW Valedictorian Erin Larson.
Institute for Women's and Gender Studies and the UWSA LGBT* Centre are joining forces to host a casual shindig to make sure Erin knows how much they appreciate her standing up to homophobia and speaking truth to power.
They greatly admire her courage, and want to provide her with support as there's been public feedback that has been less than positive.
Not everyone may agree with Erin's choice, but all of us must agree that to have used this opportunity start discussions all across the country about whether or not UW did the right thing, and whether or not our politicians are standing up for human rights, took moxie.
Many are proud of you Erin for making this choice!
So, if you feel the same, here's your chance to thank her.
