send + receive: A Festival of Sound l Akio Suzuki

The 14th edition of send + receive: a festival of sound will take place at various venues in Winnipeg. This edition will feature performances and works by artists from around the world that explore distinct interpretations of NATURAL SOUND.

Artist Talk and Workshop - Akio Suzuki
October 18, noon - 5 pm

Centre Space, John A. Russell Building, Faculty of Architecture,  University of Manitoba

Forefather of sound art Akio Suzuki (b.1941) will demonstrate his approach to sound- making using common objects and invented acoustic instruments. He will discuss his practice and ideologies and invite participants to create sound works through purposeful listening and simple everyday materials.
