Kendra Ballingall will explore "Relational Aesthetics and Its Discontents: The Beer Snake as Paradigm" as part of MAWA's First Friday on February 4,
from noon to 1:00 pm at MAWA, 611 Main Street.
Beer will be served.
In this performance lecture, Ballingall will attempt to relate themes in recent artistic production, such as participation, relationality and collaboration, to theories of dissensus and necropolitics.
She will draw on examples from her own practice as well as those of football spectators and other Winnipeg-based artists.
